Orland muzzles Huskies at home

The visiting Huskies' bark was nowhere near as bad as the Trojans' bite on Friday, as Orland High's boys basketball team clinched at least a share of the Butte View League championship with a 59-44 win over Sutter.

Jud Sailsbery led the Trojans in scoring with 21 points, followed by Kavi Ram (14), Jordan Long (8) and Micah Fleming (6).

Sailsbery also led the Trojans with eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Long corralled seven rebounds and Ram came down with five.

The win upped Orland's season record to 20-4, marking the team's fourth-straight 20-win season, and kept them perfect in the BVL at 6-0.

The Trojans hosted Wheatland on Tuesday, and close out the regular season in Winters on Friday.
