Area teams begin paths to gridiron domination
Can you feel it?
Unseasonably mild temperatures greeted the high-school football teams of Tehama, Glenn and Colusa counties Monday, as practice began for the 2010 season.
The next few weeks will see a flurry of activity on the football practice fields, as teams put on the pads for early-morning, daytime or early-evening sessions, or even two-a-days. It is also the time of year when everybody has identical won-loss records, and anything is possible.
As the late-summer sun begins setting earlier, and gives way to the luminescence of the Friday night lights, the teams of the tri-county area will be well prepared to tackle another season of football at its finest.
