Orland 2, Winters 1

Mireya Lopez scored both goals to help the Orland High girls top visiting Winters on Thursday.

Orland coach Tim Milhorn said the game took an ugly turn in the 27th minute, when Orland forward and leading scorer was taken down by two players and received a concussion that kept her out of the rest of the game.

Two Winters players received cautions and a total of 27 fouls were called during the aggressive match.

Milhorn said Munoz, Yesenia Zaragoza and Noemi Parra played well for the Trojans (9-3, 6-1 Butte View League).

Orland hosted Sutter on Tuesday.

Boys Soccer

Orland 7, Winters 1

The Trojan boys out-gunned the visiting warriors at home on Thursday, raising their record to 11-0-1 for the season and improving to 7-0-1 in the Butte View League.

The Trojans welcomed Sutter to town on Tuesday.

Varsity Boys Basketball

Hamilton 69, Esparto 18

The Braves hammered visiting Esparto on Friday, improving to 12-8 on the season and 4-2 in the Sacramento Valley League.

Hamilton traveled to Durham on Tuesday.
