Orland boys win pair in Anderson
The Trojans triumphed over a pair of opponents in the Anderson Tournament over the weekend, with wins over Golden Sierra (60-38) on Thursday and Anderson (63-50) on Saturday. In between those, Orland fell to Pinole Valley (75-51) on Friday.
The Trojans jumped out to a 14-1 lead after the first quarter versus Golden Sierra, and Jud Sailsbery's 23 points included five 3-pointers and led a trio of Trojans scoring in double figures.
Micah Fleming and Jordan Long both scored 11 points, and Long finished off a double-double with 13 rebounds.
Sailsbery remained hot on Friday with 28 points in the loss to Pinole Valley. Fleming and Kavi Ram both added eight points, and Ram led the Trojans with six rebounds.
Sailsbery crossed the 20-point plateau again with 21 points on Saturday versus Anderson, and was followed by Ram (14) and Fleming (10).
Ram earned a double-double with a team-best 10 rebounds.
Orland (7-2) hosts West Valley on Wednesday.

Lady Trojans 1-2 in home tourney
The Orland High girls basketball team opened its Lady Trojan Classic by getting its second win of the season with a 46-40 decision over Biggs on Thursday.
Orland fell to Yreka on Friday (42-29) and lost to Willows on Saturday (50-29).
The Lady Trojans (2-7) are off until Dec. 27 when they travel to Antioch High School to play in the West Coast Jamboree.
