Lady Lions lose catfight with Cougars

Providence Christian had three players score in double figures, but the combined 34 points by Mandy Edmondson, Kayla Tuma and Audrey Grocott was offset by Madison Carter's 20 and Leslie Cameron's 19 as Paradise Adventist set down the Lions 61-39 in Paradise on Tuesday.

Edmondson's 13 led the way for Providence (4-14, 3-7 Pioneer-Valley League), and she was joined by Tuma with 12 and Grocott, 10.

The Cougars completely controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Lions 46-23, and Cameron pestered Providence by filling the passing lanes for 15 steals.

Natasha Ordaz was the Lions' top rebounder with seven boards, and Tuma made a team-best five steals.
