Hit the links for the Lady Braves
The 4th Annual Lady Braves "Football Too" Golf Tournament is teeing off Sept. 26 at Sevillano Links in Corning.
It is a four-person scramble format, with registration at 6:30 a.m. and an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Cost is $105 per player, and includes green fees, cart, range balls and awards luncheon immediately following the tournament. Registration deadline is Sept. 17.
Mulligans, 50/50 raffle, refreshments and beverages will also be available for purchase.
Proceeds benefit Lady Braves athletics.
Checks may be made payable to Lady Braves or Braves Football, and mailed to Lady Braves, PO Box 157, Hamilton City, CA 95951.

Golfers can 'Shoot fore the Stars'
The 12th annual Jeff Stover "Shoot Fore the Stars" Celebrity Golf Classic is being held Sept. 24 at Sevillano Links in Corning.
Cost is $175 per person, and includes lunch, dinner and cart.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Proceeds will go to the Girl Scouts of Northern California.

Ticket proceeds support scholarship
Help support the Lance Utterback Scholarship given to police students attending Butte College.
All proceeds from Chico Outlaw tickets, made available through Dean Utterback, will go towards the scholarship fund.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 824-5909.
Chico Police Officer Lance Utterback passed away in 2006 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
