Seven netted in Orland parole sweep
Seven residents were arrested Friday during a parole sweep in Orland.
Orland police Chief Paula Carr said the compliance checks were made throughout Glenn County, with the Orland Police Department as the lead agency.
Nearly 40 officers from surrounding agencies combined to check 27 locations, Carr said.
Funding for the operations came from the Shasta County North State Anti-Gang Enforcement Grant and officers participated from Orland and Willows police departments, the Glenn County Sheriff's and Probation offices, the Glenn County Interagency Narcotics Task Force, the sheriff's offices from Butte and Shasta counties, the Butte County Probation Office, Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Those arrested Friday were:
Destinie Folsom, 19, on suspicion of violation of probation.
Julio Solorzano, 20, on suspicion of possession of less than 1oz of marijuana, transportation, sale, furnishing a controlled substance and violation of probation.
Alfonso Puga Jr, 21, on suspicion of possession of Controlled Substance and Violation of Probation
Marcos Cabrera, 20, on suspicion of violation of probation.
April Bennett, 29, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of hypodermic needle.
James Ellis, 48, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of instrument to inject or smoke controlled substance.
Robin Fausset, 41, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
