Glenn County official arrested
The deputy director of Glenn County’s personnel department is facing criminal charges in connection with an alleged incident of domestic violence.
Sean Munns, the deputy director of the Glenn County Human Resource Agency, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of obstructing two sheriff’s deputies and making threats against them.
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence call at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Travis Goodwin. The caller told a dispatcher that she suffered cuts when her ex-husband broke a sliding glass door. The woman’s name was not available Friday afternoon.
Goodwin said deputies arrived on scene and reported finding Munns intoxicated and combative. After a very short struggle, deputies subdued Munns, upon which he threatened to kill them, Goodwin said.
Munns, 35, was booked into Glenn County Jail with bail set at $27,000. After spending the night in jail, Munns was released Thursday morning. Goodwin said the investigation is continuing.
