Medical pot vote on agenda
A public hearing on the county's proposed medical marijuana cultivation ordinance continues Tuesday before the Board of Supervisors.
Finance Director Ted Rozmaryn is also scheduled to give a mid-year budget review.
The marijuana hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. in the board's chambers of the Willows Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St.
The mid-year budget review is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Additional comment will be taken on the plan to regulate medical marijuana gardens to the property owned by a patient with a doctor's recommendation or card.
The new law also would prohibit the gardens from being within 300 feet of churches, schools and parks on small parcels and 1,000 feet if they are on acreage, county officials said, along with other requirements in unincorporated areas of the county.
Supervisors open the regular meeting at 9.
A second public hearing on the county's mental health services client housing plan is scheduled at 9:30 as well.
