Free movie viewing
The Colusa Movie Theater will show Huckleberry Finn today at 12:30 p.m. for free. Huckleberry Finn earned an Emmy Award in 1976 and stars Ron Howard in the title role. According to The Internet Movie Database, portions of this movie were filmed in Colusa.
This event will be the last community-wide VYCR activity for Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. Next year's selection is currently being planned and titles are being considered. For more information, visit www.virginiaread.net.
Whooping cough vaccinations
Colusa County Public Health will hold free Whooping Cough (Pertussis) vaccination clinics for anyone 13 or older that care for or spend time with infants, and have not had a booster shot previously. The clinics will be held:
July 28, 5-7 p.m., at the Arbuckle Farmers Market;
Aug. 2, 5-7 p.m., at the Colusa Farmers Market;
Aug. 6, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Williams Flea Market.

Pierce Class of 1980 reunion set
There will be a no-host gathering for classmates from Pierce High's Class of 1980 at Granzella's Sports Lounge in Williams at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Anyone who knows where a classmate may be is encouraged to contact them.

Summer dance classes
Willowdance will host a two-week long Summer Session beginning July 27 with classes available for ages 3 through adult.
Each class will focus on a different style of dance, with classes meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $40 per student. Willowdance is located at 163 N. Butte St. in Willows.
