Body shape not as important as health

Last Saturday morning, very, very early, I was lolling in bed with the radio turned on.  I learned that there are four types of women's bodies-hourglass, rectangle, triangle and inverted triangle.  The hourglass figure is supposed to be the one all we women look forward to having.  Your top and your bottom are nearly the same size with a little narrow waist in the middle.  Sounds good to me.

Next is the rectangular body which is the same size top and bottom, but also the same size in the middle.  The answer to that problem is to tighten down that waist, probably with a strong leather strap or something similar.  Then you will have an hourglass figure.  The third type is the triangle which means your bottom is bigger than your top.

Not much you can do but add two padded gadgets, one on each side in the chest area.  Then with the tucked in waist you will have guess what---the hourglass figure.  The final shape in the inverted triangle.  This means plenty at the top but very little on the bottom.

Whoever heard of little on the bottom, but I guess it could happen.  This is an easy problem to remedy with a full skirt on your dress and another tight belt around your waist.  Get the point?  Another hour glass.

I just have one question.  What do you do with a barrel shape?  My mother brought me into this world as a chubby baby.  I was a fat kid during my school days, and I've never been what they call thin in my entire life.  Good thing my hubby liked a gal with a little meat on her bones.

But you ladies out there need to know that body size is not important for anything except your health.  Does your hourglass figure do anything for you except get you into trouble?  NO!!  It's what you use up in your head that's important.  Who knows?  Maybe come November we will have a woman President, and I don't think she has an hourglass figure, or Does she?

I learned some statistics the other day that were quite interesting I thought.  After the invention of electricity it was 71 years before half of our population had electricity in their homes.  Telephones were the same -71 years.  It was only 10 years for half of the country to have the internet, only 5 years for the DVD's and only 4 years for the I-Pod to be in half of our homes.  One of these days we'll own things that haven't even been invented,.  I could mention a few things I would like to see invented, but I'll let you figure out your own.

Would you believe that 19 water babies went swimming last Monday morning at 9 a.m. with winds blowing at 35 miles per hour?  Well, they did, and fortunately the water was warm, but everyone had to tuck themselves into the water until it reached their necks.  I was one of those nineteen, and everything was fine until time to get out of the pool.  I thought I would turn into an icicle before I found my towel.

If you live near the Fairgrounds like I do, you have probably noticed all the hustle and bustle with travel trailers and motor homes in which persons will stay for the next week.  Then you have horse trailers and stock trailers so the cows can come in and stay for a week.  Then the Butler Amusement Company will show up with all the heavy, heavy duty equipment carrying the ferris wheel, merry-go-round and all the other thrilling ride equipment that Linda said I can't ride this year.  After the Zipper a year or so ago-no more rides ever since."

And, last but not least of the equipment will be all the carnival food with hot dogs, hamburgers, and cotton candy.  Then come the people to hope to enjoy all those goodies both physical and tasty.  It is an exciting five days, and I wish it would be later in the summer so that all the young'uns could enjoy the Fair without missing school and hampering their education.    Of course, you can line the streets of Orland and watch the parade.  I'll be in that school bus with the Capay Women's Club members.  Enjoy the Fair!
