Letter: Appreciation for day of science
The Murdock School fourth-grade teachers, students and parents would like to thank everyone who made our March 19 science field trip possible. We would especially like to thank Chet and Angela Vogt for hosting the science experience and providing the financial backing to make the day possible.
We would also like to thank Natalie Wolder, RJ Salvango and Kevin Kibby from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for the waterflow education; Cathy Mudd and Angie Kohler for supervising the restoration planting; Dennis Nay for leading the nature walk; Vicki Black and Leslie VanWhy for the paleontology presentation; Jack Cavier and Craig and Jen Isola for helping with the creek exploration station.
Thanks to Lee Morgan from the Mendocino National Forest for his input and help with the creek exploration and Claudia Street from the Resource Conservation District for providing the water quality monitor kit. We would like to thank Lannie's Septic Service, Hedgerow Farms, GlennColusa Cattlewomen, the Bureau of Reclamation, Glenn County Resource Conservation District, Natural Resources Conservation District and the U.S. Forest Service for their support and encouragement.
Thank you to Rob Parsons for his insightful coverage of the experience as well.
