Leo Spooner

A funeral Mass for Leo A. Spooner, 94, of Willows will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, 1129 W. Wood St., Willows.
Spooner died Oct. 2, 2008, in Willows. He was born April 21, 1914, in Willows to Joseph and Valerie Spooner. An avid hunter, he worked as a rice farmer all his life and married Irene Larrabee in 1938.
Spooner is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Sam and Marcia Spooner, Daryl and Donna Spooner and John and Pauline Spooner, all of Willows; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Mary-Alice and wife Irene.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus. Arrangements by F.D. Sweet and Son Mortuary, Willows.
