• What part of your job would you gladly give up? There isn't anything that I would give up.

• What do you like most about Orland? The small town friendliness of the people. I also like that some of the old buildings are being refurbished, it shows that we have pride in our town.

• What would you like to change in Orland? I wish that some of the people would be more accepting of other people's differences.

• What's the closest you have been to a famous person? I once was kissed on the cheek by Luciano Pavarotti

• Tell us about a life-changing experience: Having my daughter.

• If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Peace on Earth.

• What are your favorite places to go in the area? Fort Bragg, Mendocino and Mt. Lassen

• What was your first job? Babysitting

• If you were a superhero, what would your power be? Empathy, the ability to know how others are feeling and how to make their life better.

• What is something you can't live without? My family

• What's something about yourself that your friends might not know? I like to work in the rain.

• Describe yourself in three words? Fun, positive and content

• Pets: Three dogs: a Great Pyrenees, Maggie; a miniature poodle, Clarise; a Benji dog, Dusty; 11 cats; a flock of chickens; nine rabbits; nine goats; two horses; a cow and several aquariums of fish.

• How do you unwind? I read a good book or watch a romance or comedy movie.

• Hobbies/interests: Cooking, reading, knitting, needlework and reading.

• Where do you get your news? Orland Press-Register, The Chico Enterprise Record, friends and sometimes I go online.

• Favorite thing to do on a rainy day: Working in the garden.

• Dream job: I have it.

• Fondest memory: Camping trips when my daughter was young

• Favorite book: The Harry Potter series

• Favorite food: I love food, everything.

• Favorite music: Almost everything

• If you were reincarnated as an animal, which would you be and why? A cat. They are so relaxed and affectionate and they seem to enjoy life.

• What is your guilty pleasure? Reading a book from cover to cover.

• What quality in people do you most admire? Friendliness, honesty and a positive attitude

• What was your favorite toy as a child? A stuffed donkey, Blue Donkey

• Favorite TV show: I hardly ever watch TV, but I would have to say "The Big Bang Theory."

• Worst movie ever made: I only watch the good movies.

• Worst fear: Losing people that I love.
