Deadline for trip is today
Today is the deadline to register for the Capay Rancho Women's Club bus trip to the Woodland Opera House on Dec. 2 to see the musical "Inspecting Carol."
The trip is a memorial to Pat Ragan for all the bus trips and memories.

Thanksgiving service set
A community Thanksgiving Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Orland, 903 First St.
Sponsored by the Orland Ministerial Association, the service will feature giving of thanks to God through songs, testimonies and prayers.
Refreshments will be provided after the service.
Childcare will be available for children through kindergarten age.
Scouts collecting canned food
Boy Scout Troop 114 of Orland will be collecting canned goods from 9 a.m. — noon Saturday in front of Sav-Mor Foods, 32 E. Walker St., Orland.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Little League board to meet
The Orland Boys Little League board will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Round Table Pizza, 302 E. Walker St., Orland.
Anyone interested in being a board member or would like to listen in on the meeting is welcome to attend.
