Donated items needed

The Orland Women's Improvement Club's 60th annual rummage sale is scheduled for March 5-6 at Flaherty Hall on the Glenn County Fairgrounds. Good clean children's clothes and toys, furniture, household items, jewelry, linens and small appliances are requested for donation. Proceeds support two Orland High School scholarships. Make history with largest Bunco bash in county

The Ark Christian Center is sponsoring a Bunco Bash beginning at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6 at 222 N. Butte St. in Willows. All proceeds will support North Valley Christian Schools' Help-a-Student program which helps enable qualifying families to attend Oak Tree Christian School or Providence Christian High School. Celebrate the winter waterfowl migration

The 11th annual Snow Goose Festival finishes this weekend in Chico. Over 50 field trips and workshops ranging out to six counties will be available, celebrating the winter waterfowl migration in the North Sacramento Valley. The Orland Alumni Association will present a $1,000 scholarship through the Joe Gerber Undergraduate Scholarship Program on Feb. 27. Recipient must be a graduate of OHS and have established and maintained a 3.0 GPA as a full-time student at an accredited college, university or vocational/trade school. Forms are available at OHS and the Butte College Orland Center. Applications are due Feb. 5.

Parents rally for sober grad raffle

Parents from the Orland, Willows, and Hamilton high schools are working with the Corning High School Parents Club - Cards in Action - to sponsor a 2010 Sober Grad Raffle.

The raffle has drawings for trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Napa and San Francisco, and for cash prizes of $500, $350 and $200.

Tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held Feb. 6.
