Letter, Tourney organizers say thanks

We want to extend our thanks to everyone involved with making the eighth annual Scott Rakestraw Memorial Softball Tournament a huge success. We especially want to thank the managers, teams, grounds keepers, umpires, scorekeepers and Lannie's Septic Service for their ongoing support.

Thank you also to the hundreds of families and friends who attend the tournament each year to cheer on their favorite team. We hear people say it feels like a big family reunion and they are right. Your generosity is amazing and we cannot thank you enough for your donations to the memorial fund.

This year we were able to award seven scholarships in the amount of $500 to Willows High School seniors who plan on furthering their education. Over the last eight years, your contributions have allowed us to present the Scott Rakestraw Memorial Scholarship to 42 very well deserving young men and women.

We are so honored to do this in Scott's memory and we know he would be very proud as well.
