Otters host sign-ups
Sign-ups for the Orland Otter Swim Team will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. today; and 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the Carnegie Community Center, 912 Third St., Orland.
Swim season runs May 21 through Aug. 5 for $9 per week.

Stamp out hunger
The U.S. Postal Service's 20th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive will take place this Saturday.
Please leave your non-perishable donations at your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up.
Last year letter carriers collected 70.2 million pounds of donated food to help replenish America's food banks.

Bass tourney Saturday
Providence Christian High School will host a bass finish tournament Saturday at Black Butte Lake. Check-in will be at 4 a.m. with the launch taking place from Eagle Pass.
Entry fees are $100 per boat with a $30 Big Stringer Option and a $20 Big Fish Option. 50 boat limit.
A tri-tip lunch will be held afterward. A raffle for two guided trips for two each on the Delta with Bobby Barrack fro Striper or Black Bass will also be held. Raffle tickets are $10 each.

Trash to Treasure workshop set
A free, hands-on workshop focusing on turning household materials into science experiments, games, art and more will be held from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. May 24 at the Carnegie Community Center, 912 Third St., Orland.

Call for vendors
Glenn County Farmers Market is setting up a general store during the Glenn County Fair. Sell your products at the General Store from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. May 17-20 and help the community to "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" by participating.
Vendors are highly encouraged to donate two hours of time to man the store during the fair.

Pastel weekend workshop soon
Mary Amicarella will hold a Pastel Weekend Workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19-20 at the Orland Art Center, 732 Fourth St., Orland.
The fee is $125 and includes lunch both days.
A deposit of $25 by May 1 will hold your space.
