Americana Corvette Club

Commodities Distribution

Glenn County Commodities Distribution sites for August have been announced.

Aug. 19: 10:30-11 a.m., Stonyford Grange on Market Street, Stonyford; 11 a.m. to noon, Elk Creek Grange, 411 Church St., Elk Creek, and 1-2 p.m., Open Gate Church, 950 Laurel St., Willows.

Aug. 20: 9-11 a.m., Harvest Baptist Church, 1202 Railroad Ave., Orland.

Aug. 21: 9-11 a.m., Evangelical Church, 490 Los Robles Road, Hamilton City.

Girl Scout fundraiser

Orland Girl Scouts troops will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at 1030 Seventh St. in Orland. All proceeds will go to the participating Orland troops to raise money for supplies to start a new year. For more information, contact Lucie at 921-4774.

Guest speakers this Sunday

Orland Evangelical Free Church is hosting guest speaker, Frank Erb, the California Director of Capitol Commission, for both services Sunday. His sermon topic will be "Our Mission to Political Leaders." The Capitol Commission is a ministry to legislators, staff, lobbyists and others at the state Capitol and many other state capitols across the United States.

Join Glenn Chorale

The Glenn Chorale will begin its 30th season at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Orland High School band room. Anyone who enjoys singing is invited to attend. Rehearsals will be held until the Christmas concerts in December. There are no auditions.
