Annual rummage sale

The Altar Society of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Orland will hold their annual rummage sale August 5 from 12-8 p.m., August 6 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and August 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parish Hall, corner of A and Mill streets. Clothes, jewelry, small household items, books and much more will be available.

William Finch work party

William Finch Charter School parents are invited to a work party at 8 a.m. today at the Glenn County Learning Center, 451 S. Villa Ave. in Willows. The front lawn will be replaced with new sod. Shovels, rakes and other garden equipment are needed.

Class of 2000 reunion

The Orland High School class of 2000 will hold its 10th reunion Aug. 14 and ask that all attending return their RSVP cards to: OHS Class of 2000 Reunion, P.O. Box 1109, Orland, CA, 95963. For questions about the event, e-mail to ohsco2000@hotmail.com.

Cancer benefit lunch

A cancer benefit lunch for Necia Pacheco Silva will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Orland Fire Department, 810 Fifth Street. Lunch includes BBQ tri-tip sandwich, salad, chips and a drink for $8. Dine-in or take-out available. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses. Tickets are available and donations will be accepted at Sav-Mor Market, 32 East Walker Street and at Garnet Hill, 718 Fourth Street.

Basketball Camp

Hamilton City High School will host a basketball camp for children in the third through ninth grades today and Sunday. The fee is $35 per player and includes a T-shirt. Sign-ups will be taken the day of the camp. Grades 3-5 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, and grades 6-9 will meet from 1-4 p.m. For more information, contact Coach Erikson at 518-1221. ?
