Artist's reception Friday

A reception will be held from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday for Willows artist Vic Kronberg, who is well known in the region for his watercolors.

The reception will be held at the Arts Council office, 430 Market St., Suite C., Colusa.

Watercolors featuring wildlife, old barns, landscapes and more will be on display.

Girls softball sign-ups set

Sign-ups for girls softball will be held at Round Table Pizza from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday; 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 26; and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Jan. 30, 302 E. Walker St., Orland.

Cost per player is $60.

Three proofs of residency and a birth certificate are needed.

Glenn Chorale practices begin

The Glenn Chorale will begin rehearsals for he spring concert season beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, at the Orland High School band room, 101 Shasta St., Orland.

A $10 music usage fee will apply.

The chorale will rehearse every Monday evening until the performances May 4-5.

Blood drive Thursday

An Orland community blood drive will be held from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Thursday inside the Social Hall at the Federated Church of Orland, 709 First St.

Donors must be in generally good health, free from cold symptoms for at least 48 hours, and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent.

Veterans hold flea market

Glenn County veterans will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. — 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at Willows Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St., Willows.

Table space is available for $12, which includes a large table.

Gun show starts today

The 25th annual US Gun Traders show opens its two-day run today, 8 a.m. — 5 p.m., in the Main Exhibit Building at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.

The event continues from 8 a.m. — 4 p.m. Sunday.�
