Motor-Icicle Run Saturday

The annual Motor-Icicle Run, a pledge ride to fund a memorial for the Orland's heroes and to light the historic Orland Arch, will be held Saturday.

Meet at the Orland Fire Department, Fifth and Colusa streets, at 7 a.m. for a pancake breakfast, $6, followed by the ride, 8-10 a.m.

A chili feed, 50/50 and prize raffle will follow immediately after the ride.

Entry fee is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger.

Pledges are encouraged.

Market meeting Tuesday

A meeting will be held from 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss a variety of Certified Farmers Market items, including survey results of the 2012 market season, and how to ensure another successful season.

The meeting will be held at the Glenn County Resource Conservation District/USDA Service Center, 132 N. Enright Ave., Suite C, Willows.

Blood drive is Jan. 24

An Orland community blood drive will be held from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Jan. 24 inside the Social Hall at the Federated Church of Orland, 709 First St.

Donors must be in generally good health, free from cold symptoms for at least 48 hours, and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent.

Spaghetti feed slated

Orland Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its 58th annual Spaghetti Feed from 11 a.m. — 8 p.m. on Feb. 2.

The event is at 810 Fifth St. The cost is donation only. There will be a cake auction, silent auction and raffle. Proceeds will be used to purchase rescue equipment.
