Book signing slated

A book signing party will be held from 4 p.m. -7 p.m. Dec. 19 at The Rusty Wagon, 420 Walker St., Orland.

Author, Gene Russell, will be on hand promoting his new book, "Orland's Colorful Past: Scrapbook."

December meeting canceled

The Dec. 20 meeting of the Northern Sacramento Valley Integrated Regional Water Management Technical Advisory Committee is canceled.

The next meeting will be at 9 a.m. Jan. 17 at Willows City Hall, 201 N. Lassen St., Willows.

Party on New Year's Eve

Orland VFW and Orland Pride will host a New Year's Eve party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Orland Memorial Hall, 320 Third St.

The event will include a full service bar, party favors, midnight countdown, balloon drop, music by Inside Straight and more.

Proceeds benefit Orland's Heroes project.

Must be 21 to attend.
