0759 hrs Officer JOHNSON made a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Astro on East at Tehama St. The driver, 45 y/o Christopher RHODA, was cited and released for passing a school bus while the busses red lights were flashing.
0910 hrs Officer JOHNSON was dispatched to Corning Lumber at 1314 Sixth St for a report of a possible stolen credit card. The officer contacted manager, Kathy PEREZ, and documented the incident.
1111 hrs Officer JOHNSON was dispatched to the Orland High School at 101 Shasta St for a report of a student who had stolen an MP3 player. The officer contacted and cited a 15 y/o student for petty theft. A report will be forwarded to probation.
1312 hrs Officers Cessna and Johnson responded to 215 E. Mill St. for an anonymous report of a domestic dispute. The officers contacted 48 y/o Orland resident Gloria Mora was had an argument with her husband, 59 y/o Orland resident William Mora. William Mora was gone upon Officers arrival. No further action was taken.
1241 hrs Officer JOHNSON located a white Mazda 626 parked in the 200 block of E Shasta St with registration expired in September, 2006. A parking citation was issued and the vehicle was stored with Bambauer Towing.
1603 hrs Officer JOHNSON made a traffic stop on a brown Chevrolet pick-up on East at South St. The driver, 30 y/o William WILSON of Orland was cited and released for speeding and was given verbal notice that his driver's license is suspended.
1612 hrs Officer Cessna was dispatched to through the WIC Program to 1005 Railroad Ave assist Westside Ambulance with to a female that had possibly accidentally overdosed on her medication. Officers contacted 54 y/o Orland resident Katleen Leeds. Leeds was transported to Glenn Medical Center for evaluation.
1930 hrs Sgt Tolle stopped a Subaru station wagon on E. Walker east of Woodward for lighting violations. The driver, 27 y/o Orland resident Humberto Tzintzun was found to be unlicensed. Tzintzun was cited and released for the violation. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.
2030 hrs Sgt Tolle stopped a white 2006 Honda CR-V for failure to stop at a stop sign. The driver, a 17 y/o Vacaville resident was found to be unlicensed. A call was placed into the juvenile's parents and learned that the 17 y/o took the car without permission. The juvenile was cited for the traffic violations. Orland PD VIPS were called to the PD to sit and watch the juvenile until parents arrived.
2045 hrs, Sgt. Baker stopped a white 1979 Datsun 280 ZX in the 4000 block of County Road KK for a defective right taillight. The driver, 43 y/o Shannon McKay of Orland was cited and released for driving on a suspended driver license and having no vehicle insurance. The vehicle was stored with Bambauer's Towing.
2228 hrs Officer Lopeteguy was on patrol in a marked patrol car and in full uniform. Officer Lopeteguy observed an infraction of the vehicle code and made an enforcement stop on a Blue Thunder Bird. The vehicle yielded at Colusa and First Streets. Officer Lopeteguy spoke with the driver, 58 year old Corning resident, Gary Wells who admitted to the infraction. Officer Lopeteguy also spoke with Dennis Anthony Poncia, 27 of Orland who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Wells gave consent to search his vehicle for any contraband. Officer Lopeteguy made a search of the vehicle locating an illegal smoking pipe and methamphetamine. Officer Lopeteguy arrested Wells for the contraband. Poncia was released without incident. Wells' vehicle was stored with ZIPS towing. Officer Lopeteguy transported Wells to the Glenn County Jail where he was booked.
1840 hrs Officer Stover stopped a Pontiac Van at Sixth and Colusa for having no front license plate. After an on scene investigation the driver, Antonio Jimenz-Mlendrez 28 of Orland was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for driving while unlicensed.
2255 hrs Officer Stover stopped a Ford Van on County Road 9 west of 6th Ave for not having a drivers side brake light. The driver Gregorio Perez 38 of Orland was cited for the violaion and for failing to produce insurance information.
2215 hrs Sgt Tolle was dispatched to an alarm at Orland Hardware. The building was found secure.
