Reproductive Herd Health Workshop offered
The Glenn/Colusa Cattlemen's Association, UCCE, Westway/Mol Mix and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. will host at workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at Louis Cairos, 558 Seventh St. in Williams. Buy flowers, support hope
The American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days fundraiser is now in the process of taking orders through Friday. Delivery will be March 24 at the Orland Fire Dept. for the Orland area. Flowers are available beginning at $10 and all funds raised benefit local residents.
Daffodils , the first flowers of spring, are a symbol of hoe for cancer patients and their families. To order, call Laura Blevins at 865-3266 or Shirley Russell at 865-9555.
4-H Club holding fundraiser Saturday
The annual Glenn County 4-H Fund Raising Dinner will be held from 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. Monica's Parish Hall in Willows. Dinner will feature tri-tip, rice, salad French bread, dessert and a drink. The cost is $8.
Tickets are available from any member, at the door or by calling 865-1107. All proceeds benefit 4-H events and awards in the Glenn County 4-H program.
Orland rummage sale scheduled
From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 1-3, and 9:30 a.m. to noon on March 4, The Orland Women's Improvement Club will be accepting donations for their annual rummage sale which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 5 and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 6 at Flaherty Hall at the Glenn County Fairgrounds.
Capay volunteers need your support
Help The Capay Volunteer Fire Department maintain high-quality fire protection and rescue and medical services by attending their annual buffet dinner to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 7 at Capay Elementary School, Fourth and Cutting Avenues.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 5-12 years old. Donations may be sent to the Capay Volunteer Fire Department, 50 Fourth Ave., Orland, CA 95963. For details call 864-8478.
Visit King Tut
The Capay Rancho Women's Club will be having a bus trip to San Francisco and the King Tut exhibit at the De Young Museum on March 9. The price of $87 includes lunch at Sinbad's by the Ferry Building. For reservations, call Pat Ragan at 865-2615.
Youth football, cheer sign-ups slated
Sign-ups for Orland Aztecs Youth Football and Cheerleading for children ages 6-14 will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on March 17 and 18 and again from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 20 at the Pizza Factory in Orland. Please bring a copy of child's birth certificate, current wallet-sized photo and insurance information. 13 and 14 year old children must present proof of being in the Eighth grade.
Cost to play is $125 plus mandatory sale of 50 raffle tickets. All veteran players who signed up at the Awards Banquet must attend sign-ups to fill out paperwork and pick up raffle tickets.
