Letter: ‘Safe & Sober' sales effort successful

This letter is coming to you from the Orland High School Safe & Sober Grad Committee.  We would like to publicly express our gratitude and thankfulness to all of the students, parents and everyone in the community who purchased any of our items at the Orland Crafts Fair earlier this month.

The committee considers the weekend a huge success, with the sales of Christmas wreaths, baked goods, homemade tamales and the 50/50 raffle.  Parents and students worked very hard on Friday night to make all the tamales.  Then many of our families donated baked good for us to sell.  Also, it took many of us to sit at the table all weekend and walk around the fairgrounds trying to sell our goods.  We are so very proud of all the hard work and so grateful to everyone who bought any item from our table.  Bart Caster of Orland and Emil Iverson of Grenada were our big winners for the 50/50 raffle.

Our fundraising efforts continue. Call 865-3373 or 865-5873 for information. Thank you again for your continued support.

Carolyn Pendergrass
