George D. Kirch

Graveside services for George D. Kirch, 78, are at 10 a.m. today at Willows Cemetery.

Kirch died Sept. 12, 2008, at his Willows home. He was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Willows to Albert and Josephine Kirch and attended Willows schools.

Kirch served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Mansville for 15 years as a dock worker loading trucks. He loved to hunt and vacation in Fort Bragg.

Kirch is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; son Edward Kirch and son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sherry Kirch, all of Willows; sister Francis Kirch of Isleton, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
