Boy Scouts request your Christmas trees
Troop 57 will collect your Christmas Trees today, Saturday and Jan. 9. There is no charge for the pick-up, but donations can be made to Willows Scouts Troop 57. Call John Shively at 518-0342 for arrangements.
Play Bingo and support a cause
Town and Country Humane Society will host its New Years Bingo on Jan. 9. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7, Glenn Co. Fairgrounds, Orland. Call 865-3661 or 865-5605.
Breakfast fundraiser for Melissa
Please join in raising funds for Melissa Romano, who is in need of a liver transplant. A breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2010 in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Glenn County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Parents rally for Sober Grad Raffle
Parents from the Orland, Willows, and Hamilton high schools are working with the Corning High School Parents Club - Cards in Action - to sponsor a 2010 Sober Grad Raffle.
The raffle has drawings for trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Napa and San Francisco, and for cash prizes of $500, $350 and $200.
Tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held Feb. 6.
