Alvin Allen Jantzen

Jantzen of Glenn, at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Church of God in Christ, Highway 45 in Glenn.

Alvin, 84, died July 13, 2008 in Willows. He was born on May 11, 1924 in Cimarron, Kan.. He spent his childhood years in the Burns and Montezuma, Kan. areas. On March 6, 1949 he married Pauline Koehn at Lone Tree, Kan. They were married for nearly sixty years. He lived in the central Kansas area for about three years then moved to the Western Kansas area. In 1955, he moved to Livingston and made is way to Glenn in 1963.

Survivors include his wife Pauline; children Jason and wife Rose of Oroville, Galen and wife Christy of Glenn, Jim of Glenn, Dolores and husband Ronald Loewen of Glenn, Wanda and husband Chester Friesen of Willows, Lucille and husband Douglas Marcom of Monterey, Tenn. and Fern and husband William Wesenberg of Ithaca, Mich.; 29 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of F.D. Sweet and Son Mortuary, Willows.
