Deputy Smith stopped a vehicle for crossing the right roadway limit line
with both passenger side tires. Deputy contacted the driver, Joseph Freshour,
27. Freshour had red watery eyes and admitted to consuming alcohol. CHP
requested for possible turnover. CHP officer Stokes arrived and did an
evaluation on Freshour. Officer Stokes subsequently arrested Freshour for DUI,
blood alcohol concentration was .10 percent. Vehicle was released to a sober
passenger.
Gary Belcher came into
the jail lobby to report an attempted burglary at his father`s residence on
state route 162, east of Willows. Deputy Knouse detailed. On 4/24/08, a subject
pried the metal door to a travel trailer in an attempt to gain entry. No entry
made but damage to the door at estimated at $100. On 4/26/08, Belcher found a step
ladder placed near a window of a camper shell. No signs of forced entry or
damage to the camper.
