Resource Fair Saturday

The annual Community Resource Fair will take place from 10 a.m. — 2 p.m. Saturday at the Glenn County Fairgrounds, 221 E. Yolo St., Orland.

This is a free event to inform the community of resources available to them in Glenn County and includes activities, entertainment, prizes, food booths, health screenings and more.

Barbecue fundraiser Saturday

The 11th annual fall barbecue at North Valley Christian Schools will take place from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the campus located half a mile east of Orland on Highway 32.

Tickets are $10 and $5 for a child's plate.

Live music will be performed by the Murdock Ramblers.

Sunday is Oktoberfest

St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Artois will hold it's annual Oktoberfest from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday at Lutheran Hall, Sixth and Main streets, Artois.

Homemade sauerkraut, hot German potato salad, mustard, and German chocolate cake will be served.

The Bockwurst is from Schwarz Sausage Co. of San Francisco. Sierra Nevada beer will be sold separately.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Pre-sale tickets must be obtained from members or by calling Myrna Lohse at 934-5711; Harold von Bargen at 934-3613; Dorothy Beesley at 934-9861; or Laura Blevins at 865-3266.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.

4-H pizza fundraiser

Schaffert 4-H will hold its annual fundraiser from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Tuesday at Round Table Pizza, 302 E. Walker St., Orland.

A portion of sales will be donated to the club when Schaffert 4-H is mentioned.

A donation-only bake sale will also take place.

Funds raised will go toward club projects an to defer the cost of 4-H camp.
