    Halloween and fall celebrations planned in the Yuba-Sutter area include:

    Annual Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Contest — Weigh-in 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday with judging at 1 p.m. at Sutter Orchard Supply, 573 Bridge St., Yuba City. Co-sponsored by Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau. Call 673-8068.

    Safe Trick or Treat — For children to 12 years old from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Yuba Sutter Mall, corner of highways 99 and 20, Yuba City. Sponsored by the Yuba Sutter Mall.

    Scarysville Halloween Festival — 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday on D Street, Marysville. Sponsored by the Marysville business community.

    Fall Festival — 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Avenue Baptist Church, 804 Cooper Ave., Yuba City. Scary costumes are not allowed.

    Harvest Festival — 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Live Oak Nazarene Church, 2727 Fir St. Free admission; no scary costumes.

    "Haunted Cemetery" — 6 p.m. Saturday on Gold River Drive off Shanghai Bend Road, Yuba City. Free admission, bring a canned food item to benefit Casa de Esperanza.
