Party on New Year's Eve
Orland VFW and Orland Pride will host a New Year's Eve party from 9 p.m. — 1 a.m. Monday at Orland Memorial Hall, 320 Third St.
The event will include a full service bar, party favors, midnight countdown, balloon drop, music by Inside Straight and more.
Proceeds benefit Orland's Heroes project.
Must be 21 to attend.

Growers meetings on Jan. 8
The annual growers meeting held by the California Rice Commission will be at 9 a.m. on Jan. 8. at the Bonanza Inn Magnuson Grand Hotel, 1001 Clark Ave., Yuba City.
The second meeting will be held at 1 p.m. the same day at the Colusa Casino Resort Conference Center, 3770 Highway 45, Colusa.
Registration will be held 30 minutes prior to each meeting. All members of the rice industry are welcome to attend.

Crab Feed and Auction slated
The annual Willows Elks Lodge Crab Feed, Raffle and Auction will be held from noon — 6 p.m. Jan. 20 at 150 S. Shasta St., Willows.
Tickets are $35 and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available from Elks members and at the Elks Lodge.
Proceeds benefit high school seniors in Glenn and Colusa counties.

PG&E offers scholarships
PG&E is accepting applications for 2013 college scholarships.
Aspiring and continuing college students may apply for financial assistance through the Employee Resource Group's scholarship funds. At least 100 students will receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for exemplary scholastic achievement and community leadership.
Application deadline is Feb. 1.
