Mary Herring, 56, of Orland reported her  daughter, Kelly Herring, 19, heard someone walking near her residence. Dep McDonald and dep Burns responded and checked the area and were unable to find any evidence of someone walking near the residence. There were cattle near the area where the footsteps were heard. Herring requested special patrol during the night time hours.

Orland resident, Janet Erickson, 74, reported her stepson, Merritt Erickson, 58, pushed her out of the way to gain access to her back yard. Janet Erickson said a judge told Merritt Erickson he was not allowed in the back yard on the weekends. Deputy Owens responded and interviewed both parties. After speaking with both parties it was determined a stay away order was not in effect and to be a verbal argument only. Parties agreed to stay away from each other.

Orland resident Linda Mozzini, 53, requested a civil standby to pick up property from her residence where her husband, Sereno Mozzini,  54, resides. There is a served restraining order on file stating she is to stay away from Sereno Mozzini. Deputy owens detailed. Mozzini had friend, Carolynn Flowers,  27, retrieve the items for her. Deputy owens completed the civil stand-by. Nothing further was requested.

Glenn County sheriff`s office dispatch advised of a 911 hang up with no answer on call back from a residence on county road 17. Deputy Burns responded to the residence and it was found unoccupied. Dispatch advised the call was possibly coming from a cellphone belonging to a Lorrie Stumburgh. Deputy Burns located mail at the residence belonging to a Kevin and Lorrie Stumburgh. No other address was located for the subjects and no answer with further attempts to call the original 911 number.

Mildred Samons, 72, requested to speak with a deputy about ongoing problems with a neighbor. Deputy Burns responded to Samons' residence. Samons explained she believed her neighbor has been on her property at night. Samons requested contact be make with the subject and he be told he is not allowed on the property. Deputy Burns contacted, Elzy Stephens,  74. Stephens was given a trespass admonishment and agreed to stay away from Samons.

While on patrol in the Hamilton City area, deputy Burns contacted a witness from a prior case at Sierra Street and 6th Ave. Deputy Burns contacted Drew Studyvin,  18, who explained someone threw her statement forms away. While speaking to Studyvin, deputy Burns observed Studyvin's pupils were dialated. Deputy Burns conducted further investigation and determined Studyvin was under the influence of a controlled substance. Studyvin was arrested and transported to the Glenn County jail.

Dep McDonald was detailed to investigate an anonymous report of loud music on Butte Street north of the railroad tracks. Dep McDonald checked the area and was unable to locate the source of the music.

While patrolling the 900 block of N. Shasta st. Dep McDonald observed an open mailbox with mail that appeared to have been rifled through. Dep McDonald contacted the resident at 955 N. Shasta she advised that she had not checked her mail since the previous day. She did not find any mail missing. Dep McDonald provided her with information regarding mail and identity theft.

Complaint of loud music. Loud party located at 125 broadway. Resident, Lucero Ledesma, was contacted and she lowered the music level.

Steven Geisberecht reported seeing a white Toyota pickup parked off the road near 1521 state route 45 that was he was not familier with. While enroute dep McDonald observed a pickup matching the description leaving the general area. The vehicle also had an obstructed rear plate. Dep McDonald stopped the vehicle near the Glenn post office. The occupants, John Waybright, 22, and Vaughn Harold, 22, of Chico advised they were fishing on the Sacramento River and ran out of gas.

An anonymous person reported a dark green Intrepid with three adult males blacked out on county road K south of county road 20. Deputy Monck responded to the scene. Deputy Monck made an enforcement stop on the vehicle for a inoperable license plate lamp. Deputy Monck contacted Shane Miller and three juveniles. A small amount of marijuana was located during the contact. Investigation continuing.
