Deputies initiated a traffic stop on
a vehicle for driving on a roadway without proper license plates. The
17-year-old driver was contacted and consent was obtained to search the
vehicle. Upon search of the vehicle deputies located two gravity knives and a
billy club. The items were siezed as and booked into evidence as contraband to
be destroyed.
Deputies observed a red Ford F-250 traveling eastbound on Walker Street at Woodward Street as it was weaving and crossed over the fog line. Deputies initiated enforcement stop on the vehicle at Papst and E. Mill Street. The driver, John Edward Fleming, was contacted and found to display objective symptoms of intoxication. Orland police responded to the scene to conduct a dui investigation. Fleming was subsequently arrested by opd for DUI.
Terri Fountain reported two black cows in the roadway on county road 15 east of county road P. Deputy Brazzi responded and located the cattle. Deputy Brazzi contacted Darwin Smith at his residence on county road 15. Smith advised the cows belonged to him. Smith secured the cows in his barn for the night.
An employee at Denny`s requested an officer check on a male subject who just left business. Per the rp, the subject appeared to be intoxicated and was getting into a vehicle parked outside the buisness. WPD busy at GMC with an in custody and requested an assist. Deputies Brazzi and Burns responded along with CHP. CHP officer Stokes conducted a DUI investigation in the parking lot and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI.
WPD officer Brown was dispatched to a residence in Willows for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies Brazzi and burns responded to assist. Billy Galbraith and Ryan Jackson were seen running from the residence. Deputy Brazzi detained Galbraith in handcuffs after a short foot pursuit. Deputy Burns contacted Jackson near his vehicle. Officer Brown arrested both subjects after his investigation was completed with the victim. See officer Brown`s report for further.
Rp called the sheriff`s office to report her 17-year-old daughter ran away from home sometime last night. Deputy Knouse detailed. Campbell woke up this morning and found her daughter had left the residence with her clothes and other personal items. Deputy Knouse completed a missing person report for the runaway juvenile. Glenn county communications entered the juvenile into mups. Campbell said the juvenile had run away two times in the past. See narrative.
Anonymous rp called to report shots fired last night and this morning behind his residence in north east Orland. Rp stated the shots came approximately every 30 minutes, had a consistent pattern and came from the area of Stoney Creek. Deputy Knouse checked the area north of Meadowbrook subdivision in Orland. Unable to locate any persons in the area, however heard what was possibly a zon gun, used to scare birds out of the orchard. Deputy Knouse informed rp who refused to give his name.
Jason Lee called the sheriff`s office and reported a subject parked in a white truck and the subject would not wake up. Deputy Dicharry responded. The subect was gone prior to deputy`s arrival. Lee also wanted to report his zong guns and propane tanks were stolen last night. When deputy attempted to take report, Lee said he would call back when he had time.
While on patrol in the Hamilton City area, deputy Burns observed a male subject on a bicycle on the shoulder of the highway. The male slipped off his bike peddles coming close to falling into the roadway. Deputy Burns contacted the subject who was identified as Nicanor Romero, 29. Romero had a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his person. After further investigation Romero was determined to be too intoxicated to care for his own safety. Romero was arrested for public intoxication & dui.
Juan Garcia Padilla, requested to speak to a deputy regarding an earlier dispute at 361 Main Street, Hamilton City. Padilla wanted information regarding a property issue he was having with his estranged wife. Padilla was given information regarding the civil issue.
Elana Ochoa, reports her sister and boyfriend arguing inside the residence. Miguel Rodriguez and Beatrice Maldonado were contacted and counseled. Both reported the argument as verbal.
Joni Woods, reports her mail box was damaged. Mailbox appeared to have been hit several times with a blunt object that caused the top and sides to collapse. Woods saw a full-size pick-up truck going north on county road DD just after the incident. No other descriptors.
