Wedding: Calzada-Kafader
A Willows man remains in custody today on $25,000 bail, charged with inflicting corporal injury on his ex-girlfriend.
William Billy Macek, 40, was arrested Monday night, following an argument that allegedly resulted in Macek striking his ex-girlfriend in the face with a handheld spotlight.
Deputies on Monday were dispatched to a possible domestic violence on the 6000 block of State Highway 162 in Willows.
Deputies arrived to find the 36-year-old female victim bleeding severely from a deep laceration across her nose, according to the Sheriff’s office. Officials cannot release the name of a victim of domestic violence without their consent, according to Sheriff Larry Jones.
The victim told authorities she and Macek started arguing after Macek had supposedly fallen asleep while watching their daughter. The victim claimed she was taking a shower and, when she was done, found Macek asleep and their young daughter was not there. The child was found unharmed a short time later.
The victim claimed she and Macek searched for the child with a flashlight and the handheld spotlight. After the child was located, the argument escalated and the victim alleges Macek struck her in the face with the spotlight. Investigators found the broken light on the floorboard of Macek’s vehicle.
Macek was subsequently booked into jail and served with a Glenn County Superior Court emergency protective order.
The case will be reviewed by the district attorney’s office.
