Cancer benefit lunch

A cancer benefit lunch for Necia Pacheco Silva will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Orland Fire Department, 810 Fifth St.. Lunch includes BBQ tri-tip sandwich, salad, chips and a drink for $8. Dine-in or take-out available. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses. Tickets are available and donations will be accepted at Sav-Mor Market, 32 E. Walker St. and at Garnet Hill, 718 Fourth St..

Ranch sorting Saturday

Ranch sorting will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Glenn County Sheriff's Posse arena, 6435 County Road 21, Orland.

Certified Farmers Market

Orland will host the Glenn County Certified Farmers Market for the month of August, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays at Library Park. Fresh fruits and vegetables, local meats, specialty oils, baked goods, arts and crafts, community groups, music and more will be available. WHS Golf Tournament

The Willows High School Boosters will hold their golf tournament Saturday at the Glenn Golf Course, 6226 County Road 39. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. with an 11 a.m. tee-off. The cost is $125 per golfer and includes the green fee, lunch and a steak dinner for two. Hole sponsorships are available. A raffle, silent auction and a dessert auction will also be held.
