Christmas performance Saturday
The Federated Church Chancel Choir and friends will present "A Blest Messiah Born," the Christmas story told by carols, at 7 p.m. Saturday, 709 First St., Orland.
Directed by Kristin Williams Baugher, admission is $3 at the door, or $1 with a canned food item.
All proceeds benefit the Orland Food Bank.

Christmas Eve service set
The First Baptist Church is holding a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. Monday.
The service will include Christmas hymns, special music and traditional lighting of the candles as the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is observed.
Childcare will be provided for children through kindergarten age.
The church is located at 903 First St., Orland.
Candlelight Christmas slated
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Artois is holding a candlelight service at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Within the confines of this century-old, beautiful country church the warm glow of candlelight will set the tone for celebrating the birth of Jesus.
The service, titled "Interviews with Isaiah: The Child," will recount the events of that holy night in carols and scripture.
