Comment session Thursday

Representatives from the California Emergency Medical Services Authority will hold a public comment session from 3:45 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Northern California Emergency Medical Services Agency, Inc., office, at 457 Knollcrest Drive, Suite 120 in Redding.

The public comment session is part of a standard program and fiscal review of local EMS agencies that receive state funding. Anyone who is familiar with Nor-Cal EMS Agency or would like to comment on EMS service in Sierra, Plumas, Lassen, Modoc, Glenn and Trinity counties, is welcome to appear in person before the panel.

Written comments are also welcome and should be sent to the California Emergency Medical Services Authority, 10901 Gold Center Drive Suite 400, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, Attn: Adam Willoughby, by fax to (916) 322-8765, or by email to adam.willoughby@emsa.ca.gov.

Logue staff in Orland

District staff for Assemblyman Dan Logue, R-Loma Rica, will hold office hours from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Friday at Orland City Hall, 816 Fourth St.

Saturday is pantry pickup

A Simple Gesture food pickup for the Orland Pantry will take place from 9 a.m. — noon Saturday.

The pantry's last pickup in December resulted in 4,000 pounds of donated non-perishable food items. Christmas food boxes were distributed to 417 families; and last month 5,136 meals were donated to those in need in the communities of Orland, Capay, Hamilton City, Ord Bend and Artois.

Veterans flea market Saturday

Glenn County veterans will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Willows Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St., Willows.

Table space is available for $12, which includes a large table.

Directors meeting rescheduled

The Glenn-Colusa Irrigation District board of directors has rescheduled its meeting to 9 a.m. Feb. 14 at 344 E. Laurel St., Willows.

Corvette Club meets Feb. 21

The Americana Corvette Club will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at Logan's Roadhouse, 1900 E. 20th St., Chico.

The upcoming chili cook-off will be discussed.

Wildlife volunteers sought

Gray Lodge Wildlife Area is seeking volunteers with an interest in wildlife, ages 18 and older, to take part in its annual Wood Duck Nest Box Program. This is the largest volunteer next box monitoring program in California.

A meeting will be held from 9 a.m. — 2:30 p.m. March 9 at Gray Lodge, off of Pennington Road, Gridley.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a sack lunch.

Reservations are required and space is limited.
