LeighAnn Byerly

Name: LeighAnn Byerly.

Age: 44.

Family: My husband, Jim, is a special ed teacher for GCOE and a part-time concrete contractor, Byerly Concrete; our three sons are Levi, Samuel and Isaiah; my parents are Jack and Jodi Elliott of Orland, they raise horses and my dad works with my brother in their electrical contracting business - Rancho Electric; and my brother and sister-in-law are Steve and Jill Elliott; and nephew, Erik.

City of residence: Orland.

Occupation: Owner of Farwood Bar & Grill.

Hobbies and interests: There's not much free time for hobbies, but I love to hang out with my family. When time allows I enjoy cooking and eating, reading, taking care of our home, music, and watching baseball - especially when Samuel is pitching.

What are your goals for the upcoming year? To keep my priorities straight and remember what is truly important.

Whom do you most admire and why? My husband, Jim. He is very dependable, smart, patient, self-disciplined and level-headed. I have seen him get better with age and rise to the challenges of life with grace and integrity.

What's something about yourself that your friends might not know? I have a bug phobia.

What is your dream job? I'm not sure, but running Farwood is the closest I've ever gotten to it.

What quality in people do you most admire? Authenticity. A second quality I admire is kindness.

What is guaranteed to make you smile? My 7-year-old, Isaiah.

What are you thankful for? My relationship with God and my family.

What are some of your fondest memories? Living in Southern California near the beach when the kids were little; we had a lot of good friends down there and it was a very sweet time of life. Also, living on my parent's ranch. Jim built me a huge garden and I was home-schooling the boys at the time. Every day I was content to be at home. I loved living in the country!
