Herman Bettencourt, 66, reported a found bicycle in front of his residence and requested someone pick it up. Deputy Knouse detailed. Bettencourt said a subject left the bike then came back and asked for gas. The subject returned for the bike and left eastbound on state route 32. Deputy Knouse checked the area and contacted Paul Long, 52. Long said he ran out of gas and asked Bettencourt and another neighbor for some gas.  

Anonymous female rp said a female subject, who is possibly pregnant, was using drugs. Welfare check requested. Female contacted. A field test was conducted on ribera and she was not under the influence of a drug. The subject also said she does not know if she is pregnant as she hasn`t been tested to determine that. Welfare check completed.  

Harold Ward, 65, came to the sheriff`s office and reported his roommate, William Furr, received a possible scam letter in the mail. Sgt. Miranda met with ward and reviewed the paperwork. The letter was mailed from Canada and was not traceable. The letter and associated paperwork were booked into evidence. Ward was advised to always contact law enforcement when receiving questionable material in the mail, especially from foreign countries.  

Murrell Cheatham, 69, came to the sheriff`s office and reported his house had been vandalised and items stolen sometime in March 2008. Sgt. Miranda met with Cheatham. The amount of damage and the estimate on the loss of the stolen items are unknown at this time. Cheatham believes his ex-wife, Sandra Cheatham, 60, might be involved in the incident. Murrel is gathering the damage/loss info and will meet with sgt. Miranda on 04-30-2008.  

Debbie from the Glenn Medical Center emergency room advised they have a patient who shot himself in the foot with a BB gun. Sgt. Miranda responded. The 23-year old hispanic male said the incident happened yesterday at a ranch belonging to a friend of the family. The exact location of the ranch is unknown but is located approximately 5 miles northeast of Willows. Incident deemed to be an accident.  

RP reported a subject possibly looking for a place to dump scrap metal on county road 16 west of state route 45. Rp said subject was in a blue pickup towing a trailer full of garbage and driving very slow down the road. Deputy Knouse responded and contacted Michael Bass, 47. Bass said he collects garbage other people dump on the side of the road. He stores the scrap metal at a location near Mills Orchard until he can take it to Chico. Deputy Knouse confirmed he was authorized to store the metal. No crime.  

Amber Joyner 21, called to report her boyfriend had just pulled a knife on her but he was now outside the residence. Deputy Burns and deputy Bauer responded to the residence. Contact was made with Timothy Walker, 33. After further investigation Walker was arrested for brandishing a knife, assault with a deadly weapon and battery on a cohabitant. The knife used during the offense was located in a nearby field and seized as evidence. Walker was transported to the Glenn County jail.  

RP Lucina Torres, was walking on 4th Street at  Park Ave, Hamilton City, and she said Marisol Salcido and two female passengers drove by her and "looked like they wanted to fight her". Rp said the females left the area. Torres said she never had any problems in the past with Salcido. Rp wanted this info documented only - she did not want any contact of the females involved. Info only.  

Complaint of loud music, residence just north of rp. Deputy McDonald made contact with the perpetrators who agreed to turn the music off.  

Rp reports a blue Silverado pick-up driving fast in and around edgewater park. Area check made - unable to locate the truck. There was no apparent damage to the park.  

Willows resident, Martha Ellis, 66, reports someone attempted to break into a storage container behind her residence. Deputy Owens detailed. Ellis pointed out pry marks on the rear doors of the container. Ellis stated the last time she noticed the container untouched was 4-6 weeks ago. Ellis said there was no damage to the container. Report taken (see case file).  

While checking the property at Plaza Elementary school, deputy Burns located an open door on the north side of the campus. Deputy Burns, along with k-9 Zeffer, checked the building for a possible burglary in progress. No one was located inside the building and nothing appeared to be disturbed. The door was secured while on scene.  

Deputy McDonald observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Wood Street from Plumas with very dim tailights in violation of 24600(e)cvc and loud exhaust in violation of 27151(a)cvc. Dep McDonald stopped the veh, driver Ryan Jackson, 18, of Willows and three juvenile passengers, two 16 year-old males and a 14-year-old female. The interior of Jackson's vehicle smelled of marijuana. Jackson had objective symptoms of marijuana intoxication. Scene turned over to CHP officer Thompson. Jackson arrested for DUI. Juveniles released to parents
