Favorite part of the job: Helping make a difference in people’s lives

What part of your job would you gladly give up? The volatility of investments.

If you could go back in time, when would it be? I’d go back to when I was born, the 1950s. Things were simple then.

What is your favorite part about a typical day? After 5 p.m., when things quiet down and I can catch up on work. Without the phones ringing, I get more done in an hour than most of the day.

What do you like most about Orland? It’s a great town. We’ve got hard working, down-to-earth people who aren’t impressed with your car or where you live; and we have family values too.

What would you change about Orland? There are a lot of tired, old buildings I’d like two see replaced.

Most prized possession: I don’t think about possessions much. My health.

If you won the lottery, what would you buy first? I have nieces and nephews; I’d set up college funds for them.

Favorite TV show: “Leave It to Beaver.”

Worst TV show: “Survivor.” Do people really act like that?

Favorite sports team: San Francisco Giants.

First job: Clerk at a liquor store.

How do you unwind? I play video games.

    Dream job: I’m doing it.

    Favorite food: Italian

If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would you be and why? I’d be a Labrador retriever. I have one. It’s a loyal dog and always playful.

If you could spend the day with someone famous, who would it be and why? Franklin D. Roosevelt. He inherited a difficult economy during the Depression and had to roll his sleeves up and jump in and solve a lot of problems. He stepped into World War II and made difficult choices on United States’ involvement on top of battling polio and losing the use of his legs.

Favorite music: New rock. I listen to Z-Rock in the car.

    Favorite superhero: Batman

Favorite book: “The Warren Buffet Way,” because it opens my perspective on the greatest investors. I like these kinds of books, because I get insight on what other people do.

Favorite movie: “Lord of the Rings”

Worst movie ever made: It was so bad, I can’t remember the name. When I think about it, I want to forget it.

Biggest fear: I’m not afraid of dying, but I don’t want to die before I see my kids get married and have families of their own.
