Letter: Barrera is the right choice

A vote for Tracy Quarne is a step backward. It appears that Tracy's supporters are the same folks that condoned past administration shenanigans. Have we forgotten so soon about the Glenn County grand jury and the Attorney General's investigation? This mess was left for Arturo Barrera to clean up and clean up he did, receiving commendations from the grand jury last year.

Why would the voters of Glenn County want to place trust in someone who has been less than honest about obtaining an illegitimately acquired credential? When questioned during the candidate's night, Tracy Quarne was evasive, contradictory and arrogant in answering a simple question about his qualifications and experience.

Now the same sour grapes from four years ago are trying to bamboozle the Glenn County voters once again. Fortunately vetting a candidate for Superintendent of schools is not their forte and it boggles the mind that was the best they could do.

Vote for Arturo Barrera, proven leadership, education and experience on June 8.
