4-H fundraiser today
The annual Glenn County 4-H fundraising dinner will be held from 3:30-7:30 p.m. today at St. Monica's Parish Hall, 1129 W. Wood St., Willows.
Tickets are $10 and include tri-tip, rice, salad, roll, cookie and a drink. Tickets are available from any 4-H member, at the door or by calling 865-1107. Take-out is also available.
A cake wheel and children's carnival will be available as well, and cake donations are appreciated.
Western Days cook-off coming
Sign-ups are being accepted for anyone who wants to enter the Western Days Dutch Oven Cook-Off scheduled for March 31.
Sign-ups also are being accepted for the 500 official tasters for the event, which is sponsored by the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce and Colusa Casino resort.
There is no cost to enter. Tasting tickets are $7.

Scholarship available
The Glenn Colusa Cattlewomen and Cattlemen are offering $200,000 in scholarships to students who will be entering their junior, senior or graduate years of upper division university or college in the fall of 2012, preferably with an emphasis on beef production and/or promotion.
Candidates must be graduates of high schools in Glenn or Colusa counties.
