of Willows requested an area check of her residence. She reported she heard
what sounds like footsteps outside her residence and someone walking on her
roof. Dep McDonald and Willows police officers checked the residence and area
and were unable to locate anyone in the area.
John Garriga, reported loud music coming from 6964 county road 12 all night long. Deputy attempted contact with residents - resident did not answer door. Unable to contact. Garriga called back a second time and deputy had him sign a complaint. No answer at suspect residence again. Deputies went into residence thru a back door and contacted Agustin Escalante asleep and intoxicated. Escalante told to leave music off or he would go to jail. Escalante complied.
Reporting party Mark Stackhouse, 47, request a deputy check on a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road. The vehicle is occupied by two males and is described as a white 70`s model, El Camino with a black stripe. Deputy Bauer was detailed and checked the area. The vehicle was gone upon the deputies arrival.
GCSO dispatch received a call of a bull running loose on hwy 99 at county road 20. Deputy Burns responded to the area along with gcso service officer Wadsworth. Several attempts were made to contain the bull but it was breaking through fences and running out into traffic threatening citizens' safety. Deputy Burns car was struck by the bull causing damage. Deputy Burns dispatched the animal once it was away from traffic to prevent it from reaching I-5. The owner was on scene and failed to contain the bull.
Larry Smock called the sheriff`s office to report he witnessed a male subject hitting a female subject near county road 33 and county road D. When Smock stopped to assist the female, the male subject threw rocks at him and yelled at him. The female got in the vehicle with the male subject and drove off. Sgt Miranda, deputy Knouse and WPD officer Vessels responded and were unable to locate the vehicle or the occupants. Area was checked on county road D, from hwy 162 to county road 33 as well as the surrounding area.
An anonymous caller reported a very strong odor of marijuana coming from a trailer at the Orland estates mobile home park. Deputy Burns responded to the area and contacted the residents of the reported trailer. The residence was checked and nothing suspicious was located. Deputy Burns did not smell what had been reported by the anonymous citizen. No further action requested.
Hank Huggins called 911 to report suspicious activity in the creek bed at Stony Creek, near hwy 99w. Huggins reported seeing 15-20 hispanic subjects in the area of the creek bed. OPD sgt Tolle, OPD officer Landis, and deputy Knouse responded and checked the area. A CHP air unit flew over the area and only observed three subjects with innertubes east of the Stoney Creek bridge. No other subjects were located in the area.
GCSO dispatch advised CHP was requesting assistance in checking the area for a reckless driver that exited I-5 at county road 7. Deputy Burns was in the area and located the reported vehicle which had been described as a black vehicle with Oregon plates with female driver. Contact was made with driver, Nicole Levin, 26. Levin had a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her person. CHP was contacted to conduct further investigation. CHP officer Burns responded and arrested Levins for dui and open alcohol container.
Rp called the sheriff`s office and reported her 15 year old daughter was on the cell phone with a male subject. Rp said the male subject, Daniel Blades, 22, had a restraining order preventing him from contacting her daughter. Deputy Knouse detailed. There was an active tro that prevented contact, however the TRO had not been served to Blades. Deputy Knouse counseled the juvenile and told her not to contact Blades.
